Taiwanese Egg Donors: How to Find the Right Fit for Your Future Family

Egg donation is becoming increasingly integral worldwide, as advances in reproductive technology make the process both safer and more effective. For families, donor eggs can significantly improve the likelihood of a successful and healthy pregnancy.

Cofertility’s innovative “egg‑sharing” model contributes to more equitable access. Donors freeze their eggs for free in exchange for donating half of their retrieved eggs to intended parents, eliminating traditional cash compensation and empowering donors while reducing costs for families.

The Growing Demand for Taiwanese Donors

Asian American patients, including those of Taiwanese descent, often face greater challenges in fertility care, experiencing delayed treatment and lower success rates compared to other groups. At the same time, there’s a notable shortage of egg donors from many Asian communities, including Taiwanese.

However, broader regional trends show Taiwan itself is emerging as a center for assisted reproductive services. Fertility treatments, including egg freezing and donor programs, are more progressive there compared to many other Asian countries, highlighting both supply and regulatory openness within Taiwan.

How to find a Taiwanese egg donor

We have hundreds of kind, smart egg donors that have been pre-qualified and are ready to match with your family. So how do you get started?

  1. Create a free account. Fill out our form to share about your family and what you’re looking for in a donor. It just takes a few minutes.
  2. Find your match. Learn about our pre-qualified donors — their values, personalities, and more. Once you’ve found the right match, we’ll make it official with your doctor’s approval.
  3. Get support for life. After you bring home your baby, continue to enjoy our resources — educational materials, support systems, and more — for life.

It’s important to know that our model is different. We empower women to take control of their own reproductive health while giving you the gift of a lifetime. Our donors aren’t doing it for cash – they keep half the eggs retrieved for their own future use, and donate half to your family. Because of this, we have been able to recruit and match truly amazing egg donors.

How much does it cost to match with a Taiwanese egg donor?

We know IVF and egg donation are big expenses for families, and we want to help you financially plan for your donation journey. During a fresh egg donation journey with Cofertility, you will pay a Match Initiation Fee, coordination fee, third-party expenses plus any cycle expenses from your clinic associated with the donor's medical protocol, medications, and egg retrieval. If your donor needs to travel for any part of this, you will be responsible for covering those costs.

In a frozen egg donation journey with Cofertility, pricing is based on a per-egg pricing model and the total cost of each match in turn varies based on the number of frozen eggs available. The match cost is inclusive of all expenses associated with the coordination of the cycle and with the donor’s screening, retrieval, and medications. It’s the all-in cost of getting frozen eggs.

Additionally, every Cofertility intended parent is backed by our comprehensive Embryo Guarantee. For detailed pricing, visit our pricing page.

Why choose Cofertility for Taiwanese Egg Donation?

We’ve reimagined the egg donation process to make it more ethical, transparent, and empowering for everyone involved. Our unique model not only benefits families seeking donors but also supports donors in their own reproductive journeys. Here’s what sets us apart:

  • Highly educated donors: Our donors have attended top schools like Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, UPenn, and Cornell.
  • Ethical model: Donors keep half their eggs for their own future use, empowering them to take control of their reproductive health.
  • Transparent process: From donor matching to pricing, we prioritize clarity and honesty.

By choosing Cofertility, you’re not just finding a donor—you’re joining a community that values education, empowerment, and ethical practices. Our goal is to make the egg donation journey as seamless and rewarding as possible for both families and donors.

We’d love to help your family on this journey

When you work with Cofertility, you’ll have access to view our donors for free. All women on our platform are incredibly impressive, if we do say so ourselves.

With a matching platform like ours, you can evaluate various donor matches based on criteria you’ve set forth, including searching by Asian descent. Our goal is to be as human-centered, transparent, and ethical as possible — giving you a real glimpse into who all of our donors are as true humans, including their personalities, values, and backgrounds. Of course, this is in addition to their medical profile, genetic history, and more.

The Cofertility team understands the unique challenges that come with finding an Asian egg donor. With our extensive network of amazing egg donors, and partnerships with leading fertility clinics, we are able to provide a better egg donation experience.
