What we're looking for
We are expanding our engineering team and are looking to hire an engineer who is excited about building new products from scratch while collaborating with internal and external engineers, designers and product operations teammates to advance third party reproduction. As one of our first engineers, you’ll help shape our culture, define our development process and build the platform our members love and engage with every day.
You will be a key member of our team as you:
- Contribute tools and engineering best practices that support a bright future for our business
- Work closely with our small team to turn ideas into delightful experiences for all audiences: members, partners and teammates
- Build, test, deploy, monitor, and iterate on Cofertility’s platforms
- Gather requirements, build new features & enhancements, test functionality, resolve bugs, and improve performance to perfect our end-user experience
Who we’re looking for
As a mission-driven company, we thrive on the energy of our teammates. You should be inspired by our mission of changing the world of family planning and ready to empower women to own their fertility timeline. You’re a compassionate engineer and experienced problem solver who is excited to take your industry expertise to a seed-stage company.
- 2+ years building consumer-facing web products
- A scrappy & resourceful temperament and are excited to learn in uncertain circumstances
- An entrepreneurial spirit: turning ideas into products/experiences, always iterating, and making a difference
- Expertise in implementing complex user experiences that utilize 3rd party APIs
- A team-first attitude: doing remedial, tactical tasks that support the big picture
- A POV on technical decisions and can advocate for your opinion
- The ability to take on challenges the moment they arise and enjoy fast paced work
- A patient, kind, and empathetic demeanor
- A collaborative nature
You should have some familiarity (or at least curiosity) with reproductive health, fertility, and/or the egg freezing process.
We are a fully remote team. Our founders are spread out across the coasts. Since we’re located all over the country, communication using Slack, Gmail, Zoom, and other tools is key. We communicate regularly throughout the day, and you’ll never be alone.
We believe in giving our team members autonomy, and place value on the output of each team member.
Above all, we’re proud to engage in meaningful work that will impact tons of people throughout the family-building process.
We are an equal opportunity employer. Individuals seeking employment at our company are considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, veteran status, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

Human centered, always
We’re a “family” business
Our goal is to help people build families — today or in the future — no matter who they are or what life stage they’re in. This extends not only to our users and their families, but also, to our team. We care about each other as coworkers and humans, and support each other while helping other families grow.
Our Members > everything
We lead with empathy
Every decision we make ladders back to our Members. We always aim to put ourselves in their figurative shoes, and use this as a gut check as much as possible. Understanding our Members allows us to build experiences that are more transparent, less icky, and as always, human-centered.
Everything is figureoutable
We’re owners, not renters
We care deeply about solving real problems in our industry, starting with how we build and run this organization. When faced with challenges, we take our time to figure it out, and do the right thing for the long term. We’re “all hands on deck,” and comfortable jumping in where our talents are needed. Simply put — we’re not just “renting” here for a bit, we’re owners.
Everyone is welcome
We support family-building for all
At Co, we strive to embody inclusion and always create welcoming spaces for our employees and our Members alike. In every decision, we consider how different genders, races, sexual orientations, and backgrounds might feel, experience, or think about the topic at hand. Representation and inclusion are at our core.
Data is queen
We’re scientists at heart
We’re in a never-ending pursuit for knowledge that improves our Members’ experience and family-building outcomes. We love and seek data to make informed decisions, from the latest studies on fertility preservation and donor conception to internal metrics that can lead to product improvements. We iterate and innovative, and are not afraid to change our minds in the face of new facts.
