About Co

Why the name “Cofertility”?

The prefix “co,” meaning jointly or together, embodies our commitment to community and support. We believe in better fertility education and more accessible family-building options, both of which are made possible through our human-first ecosystem.

Who is behind Cofertility?

Our founders are Lauren Makler, Arielle Spiegel, and Halle Tecco, three women with personal and professional experience in healthcare and fertility. We are proud to be female-founded, funded, and led. You can learn more about our whole team — including our founders, medical advisors, and investors — on Our Story.

Why did you start Cofertility?

All three of us are moms — and all three of us faced challenges on the road to get here. We’re building the company that we not only wish we had when we began our family-building journeys,  but also the company we wish we had before family-building was even on our radar. We believe in a future in which people aren’t constrained to have children according to outdated standards. Our goal is for Cofertility to help make that a reality.

Programs

What programs do you offer?

Our Freeze by Co platform is for women who are interested in freezing and potentially donating their eggs to a family that cannot conceive otherwise. Within Freeze by Co, we have two programs. Our Split program allows women to freeze their eggs for free when they donate half of the eggs retrieved to a family that cannot conceive otherwise. Our Keep program allows women to freeze their eggs and keep them all for their future use. Our Family by Co platform is for individuals and couples looking to grow their families through egg donation.

How much does it cost for an intended parent to match with an egg donor?
Accordion arrow icon

Intended parents pay a $7,000 coordination fee that includes as many matches as it takes to have a baby. Yep — you read that right. We’ll rematch intended parents for free until their family-building dreams become reality. We know this is a significant investment and we want to be upfront about this.

‍

In addition to our coordination fee, intended parents should expect to pay medical costs associated with the screening and egg retrieval, which will depend on the clinic. Our Why Co page on our Family by Co site outlines the nitty gritty on our pricing estimates and commitment to our members.
