Simmone Tait
While navigating her own path to parenthood, Poppy Seed Health Founder and CEO, Simmone Taitt, experienced the gaps in emotional and mental support in maternal healthcare. After suffering multiple miscarriages — with and without health insurance — she identified a better way forward for all birthing people. She became a birth and full spectrum doula and launched Poppy Seed Health in 2019.
Poppy Seed Health’s goal is to transform the way we care for pregnant and postpartum people. Providing 24/7 text access to doulas, midwives, and nurses, Poppy Seed aims to restructure pregnancy and postpartum care with an emphasis on emotional and mental health support. At Poppy Seed Health, Taitt maintains a focus on accessibility, equity and radical empathy at the center of its care model.
Prior to launching Poppy Seed Health, Taitt was a Principal at HeartSpace NY Consulting, and a Sales Mentor at Grand Central Tech, a community of startups and strategic partners that provides a different approach compared to traditional accelerator models.
